A letter from Alpha Chi Omega’s President

Hi Potential New Members!

I am Meziah, and I am the Chapter President of Alpha Chi Omega. Going through recruitment and ultimately joining Alpha Chi Omega was one of the most meaningful decisions I have made during my time at Elon. It pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way and allowed me to grow into a more confident, supported, and authentic version of myself. I found a space where I felt seen, valued, and encouraged to become who I truly am, and that is something I will always be grateful for.

Becoming Chapter President has been such a full-circle moment for me. I wanted to be this kind of leader because of the amazing women who came before me, the ones who showed me what it looks like to lead with kindness, strength, and genuine care for others. They created an environment where I felt supported, heard, and truly valued, and that is something I strive to continue every day. It means so much to me to help create a space where every member feels like they belong and knows they have people in their corner.

The Panhellenic community is truly so excited to welcome each and every one of you. This experience is about so much more than just joining an organization, it is about finding your people, your support system, and a place that feels like home. Each chapter offers something unique and special, and there is a place where you will feel that sense of belonging.

Through Alpha Chi Omega, I have not only met some of my closest friends, but I have also created memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. From the big moments to the small, everyday ones, these experiences have shaped me into the person I am today. The relationships I’ve built and the love I’ve felt within this community are truly unmatched.

Coming to college can also mean being away from the people and support systems you’ve known your whole life, and that transition can feel heavy at times. For me, Alpha Chi Omega became a home away from home, a place where I found a sisterhood that supported me, celebrated me, and stood by me through every season. Having that kind of community, especially when you’re away from your own, is something truly special, and it makes all the difference.

I can not wait for you to go through the recruitment process and find a place that feels like home.

With Love, Meziah
