Continuous Open Bidding, or COB, is an informal membership recruitment process during which bids may be extended and accepted at any time during the school year, Fall or Spring, other than during primary recruitment. However, not all chapters participate in COB.

Unlike Primary Recruitment, Continuous Open Bidding is considered casual and unstructured. Each chapter handles Continuous Open Bidding differently, with no set dates for informal recruitment events or bids offers. Potential New Members may contact chapters individually, or vice versa, and attend informal events or chapter activities to get to know one another better.

If you are not eligible for primary recruitment, but gain eligibility during the year, you may participate in COB with eligible chapters.
